My oh my...Calm Acres is ALIVE!!!!

Today it became official.  Thanks to the Carroll Community Foundation, Calm Acres has achieved 501c3 status.  What does this mean exactly?  I can continue to offer customized equine experiences to individuals with special needs at a VERY reduced rate (in most cases free).

Can you see my smile?  I'm so excited to continue this work...and help more people.

Visit my site if you have time...www.CalmAcres.org  And hey, if you want to make a donation (no matter how small) I'd love you forever.  Really.  FOREVER!!

A perfect Sunday

This is my idea of the perfect Sunday.  Spending time with my man on our horses at Pretty Boy Reservoir.  Sweet bliss.

Cheech proudly wears her Ravens purple.  She's a loyal fan.

Cheech was moving out.  She likes to pass Buddy...makes her feel fast.  (She was actually cheating...Buddy had stopped so I could take a photo of them)

My favorite trail pony...don't tell Cheech.

I don't even remember what Mark said...but it was obviously funny.

Perfectly Matched are We

I love Mark more than anything.  More than sugar, cotton candy and perogies.  Yup...I love him LOTS!  Happy Anniversary Baby!  I look forward to many, many more fun years with you.  xxoo Tree

Mowing essentials...by Tree

My mowing attire is odd, but essential.

  1. Straw hat to shield my face from the sun.  No premature aging for me...no way.
  2. Cool protective eyewear that I stole (I mean borrowed) from Mark to keep my eyes safe from flying debris.
  3. iPod Nano...to muffle the mower sound and keep me beebopping along.
  4. Halter top to discourage weird tan lines.  Even though I wear SPF 50, I still get tan.
