Fern Harvest

As in years passed I have decided to harvest my own ferns for my hanging baskets on the porch.  It seems to me that it's the best way to repurpose, reuse and sustain.  I mean really...why buy something that will eventually die, when you can harvest it and then later replant it?  All of my previously harvested ferns are thriving back in the woods.  Promise!

Without further delay.  The ferns of 2012.

Flyin' on the Ferguson

Mark doesn't play games when there's mowin' to be done.  I clocked him in at 15mph over the front yard speed limit.  VAROOM!

Red Maple

I think the Red Maple has to be one of my favorite trees.  I mean really...look at that color.  Lush, rich and deeply burgundy.

Please don't go!

Poor Billy.  Separation anxiety sometimes gets the better of him.  Actually...he just wanted me to open the suitcase and let him lay all over my clothes.  Lovely.

Awwww...Bill.  Don't be embarrassed.  No one will know.  Just the 3 people that read this blog.  Two of which are family.

A really nice homecoming

Recently I returned home from a trip to NC where I attended a certification class in Equine Assisted Therapy.  The class was amazing and I was happy to receive my certification from Greg Kersten (founder of EAGALA and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy).  But I digress…

When I walked into the kitchen I found this...

attached to these.  Awwwwww….he's so damn sweet!
