First tommies

My first two tomatoes made a demure debute this past weekend.  Hello little ones...can't wait to eat you!

Before we had a pool

It was hot, hot, hot...Mark decided he wanted to swim in the stream.  Me?  Nope...I happily agreed to accompany him to take pictures and read.  There are snakes, fish and crawfish in there!

We loaded up the side x side with his boogie board.

Closed up the barn...

And BOOM!  He's in the water.  It was cold...so he was taking his time getting all the way in.  (isn't he the cutest thing ever?)

Me?  I propped up my feet and read my book on my tablet.  Nice way to spend the afternoon.

Another batch hatched...that empty nest feeling

This year we were happy to see we had 3 barn swallow nests in the barn.  Our normal two (one in the aisle and one in Cheech's stall) and a new one is Puddin's stall.  Full houses.  Four in the aisle nest, five in Cheech's stall and three in the new nest.

What fun to see these little faces.  They've all left the nests, but can frequently be seen soaring around the barn.  So neat.

Beautiful Blur

Mark and I were whizzing down the road to meet friends for dinner.  Thank goodness I had my camera handy to capture this.  Gorgeous.

MIA - Missing In Agua

This year I finally bit the bullet...I bought a pool.  Now before you go getting all "Where'd she get that kind of money?" on me.  We got this pool?  Yes...small, but adequate.  What they say is not true...SIZE does NOT matter.  At least when we're talking about pools for me.  This little beauty has given me many hours of enjoyment.  Many.  Unfortunately it has also kept me from blogging as much.  It's difficult to manage the laptop when I'm neck deep (sitting) in water.   But never fear...I have a few very cool photographs I hope to share soon...PROMISE!

Lucky for me, Diesel has decided it is his job to be sure I don't dive, cannon ball, run alongside it or most importantly...drown.  Yes...we bought him a whistle.

Thank heavens for Diesel.  (Life Guard and CPR certified feline)
