I think Diesel would prefer that Mark stay home from work sometimes. Or maybe share his lunch?

Unlikely fellow
This hill is covered with Daffodils...okay...correction...I thought this hill was covered with Daffodils. No worries...we like variety...diversity...integration. It's all good at Meadow Creek Farm.

Do we embarrass you?
You know how when you were a kid, your parents would do something really embarrassing? How you wished you could just stick your head in a hole and hide?
I think we did that to Diesel. Maybe Mark and I hugged? Or kissed!
Whatever we did...we are sorry. Really. (fingers crossed)

New phone for Diesel
I promised Diesel a new phone...afterall he has been diligently texting a kitty in MI. He said the BlackBerry was too hard to use...the keys were too small for one with no thumbs. So we got him a Droid phone. He's already downloaded a ton of apps.
And has customized his home screen with a baby picture of his favorite equine. (Cheech)

Just as good as chocolate
I mentioned that April 1st was Mark and my anniversary. 10 years to be exact. Yikes! Anyway, what I failed to mention was that not only did he find that 'forgotten Christmas present' of Wockenfuss candy, but he also bought me FLOWERS!
Mark never buys flowers. He much prefers to pick them himself and fashion a bow out of tall grasses. I adored these flowers (even if they were store bought)...the daisies were my favorite. I also received a homemade card. My favorite Mark product. I'm so lucky he loves me so much.

Lighting Trick?
Nope...the light on the lower right is the candle in my window. The one just to its left is its own reflection. The light above, is the MOON! It was gorgeous.

Farewell Timbre...miss you already
Timbre
1998-2011
My girl. Timbre has always been there…and now she is gone. Timbre has been fighting Lymphoma for several months. Not many thought she would have lasted this long, but she was one tough kitty. As she started to fail, I knew it was time to let her go. Timbre went peacefully this evening thanks to our wonderful mobile vet.
To say that Timbre carried a lot of memories for me is an understatement. When I found her in Ohio, I knew she chose me for a reason. She provided love when I was in an emotionless marriage, she gave me strength to stand up and make demands when my ex threatened to take her from me, she kept me company on my trip home to MD from OH, she confirmed that I finally found the right man when she nearly fainted in front of Mark the first time they met.

Timbre is my doobie doo…my feisty feline. The oldest on the farm she was never threatened for her throne. She ran the roost. I will miss her demanding ways, her loving hugs, her silly poses, her desire to take trips with us (by getting in our luggage), her ploys to take my man and her attempts to train the boy cats. Most of all, I will miss my Timbre Girl’s presence.
Rest in peace girlfriend…I’ll see you again. This I know.

The best "late" present ever!!! WOCKENFUSS!
So if you know Mark...this will make you LOL (laugh out loud). Okay...I know you knew what LOL meant...but I swear there are a handful of people who don't...and never let it be said that I excluded anyone.
Anyway...Mark was looking for his DOT health certificate a few days ago and came out of the office wearing a grin from ear to ear. I was worried. Really, really worried.
Then he said, "I think I forgot to give you one of your Christmas Gifts." Oh God, I was REALLY worried now...what the heck did he find that he was about to pawn off on me? What a wonderful, amazing...super duper fantastical surprise when he presented to me...drum roll please...
TWO 1lb boxes of Wockenfuss candy (vanilla butter creams and caramels)!
Holy "add inches to my butt" Batman...I'm in heaven.
